ABOUT OUR KIDS NEXT CODE PROGRAM

Our goal is to expose students to technology education through hands-on learning activities and project-based lessons. Students leave our programs with a fully functional personal website; a fully functional personal arcade game; a good understanding of the Engineering Design process; and a good understanding of how to protect themselves on the Internet through good Cybersecurity practices.

Our programs are offered in the following formats: 

  • After School Tech & STEAM Program

  • School Semester 16-week Program 

  • Summer Camp Program 

  • 1 week Tech & STEAM boot camp 

  • 4-6 week Tech & STEAM boot camp 

  • Online Self-Paced Programs 

  • Hybrid programs (Online & Instructor Led)

Our Programs 

Our programs are flexible and are offered as one day workshops, one-week programs, 4-week programs, 8-week programs, and school semester programs. Our goal is to expose students to technology education through hands on learning activities and project-based lessons. Our programs accommodate students at all age levels: elementary, middle school, and high school. Curriculum is available for students at beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Kids Next Code Jr. (ages 5 - 7)

Kids Next Code JR exposes students to basic digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Students learn basic foundational skills such as typing, how computers operate, and the Engineering Design process involved in developing software and hardware.

Kids Next Code Developers (ages 8-14)

Our Kids Next Code Developers program exposes students to a variety of tech & STEAM courses through hands-on learning activities and group projects. Students utilize AI, Coding, and Engineering to develop functional software and hardware.

The Digital Hands Program: (ages 15-18)

Our Digital Hands Program trains high school students to equip them with modern day tech skills so that they are prepared for a career in tech after high school. This workshop will assist students in building AI machine learning models and explore Cybersecurity related ethical hacking environments to get real world experience on both subjects. Students will also work towards entry level certification and receive career mentoring and coaching from certified IT professionals.

Kids Next Code Summer Camps

Our camps provide an engaging, interactive environment for our students to learn technology skills while having fun. Students will work in a collaborative setting to design and build functional hardware and software. In addition to tech, students also participate in fitness and social emotional learning exercises during our camp to enhance their well-being.

Youth Tech Boot Camp: LEGO Robotics, Robotics Coding, &AI program (ages 8 -14)

Monday, March 3rd - Monday, April 7th                                       (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

*Classes will meet every Monday

South Cobb Recreation Center 

875 Six Flags Dr Ste 1, Austell, GA 30168

Cost:

$185 for the 6 week program 

​

This program will cater to youth, ages 8-14, and provide hands on exercises that introduce students to Robotics building and programming with LEGOS. Students will also incorporate the Engineering design process as they build, train, design, and test AI & Robotic models. 

 

What will be provided:

-Study guides and learning materials

-Laptop for students

South Fulton Youth Drone & Drone Coding Program (ages 8 -14)

Cost:

Free

This course will introduce students to the fundamental programming concepts and coding for autonomous flight with the Tello drone while incorporating fun Engineering challenges. Each week, students will learn about drone safety, drone aeronautics, and coding in both DroneBlocks and Python. They will also use drone simulators and engage in exciting flight challenges. This experience will introduce our budding drone pilots to emerging career fields.
